Special story, special exhibition
The homeland of the Etruscans lies in what is currently Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. Italy’s first major civilisation developed in this fertile region. It reached its peak between 750 and 500 BC.
The Etruscan culture flourished thanks to intensive trade and exchange. This is also the theme of the exhibition. Mainly Greeks and Phoenicians provided an influx of goods, knowledge, ideas and people.
This inspired Etruscan masters. The result of their craftsmanship can be seen at the exhibition. The objects are on display in a contemporary setting with plenty of multimedia. Workshops make the exhibition suitable for children.
